Shenzhen Observatory, was named by National Geographic "drunken beautiful coastline"! Seeing the stunning blockbuster shot by others, the Observatory is also a long time yearning, the weekend a excited, in the case of not doing much strategy on the way out!
But! I regret! Sincerely advise you to be prepared before you come, do not rush blindly, this is really not what you think!
Here are these questions I hope you avoid the pit:
🚗 Self-driving: although it is off-season, self-driving do not have to book a pass in i Shenzhen. From Baozhong to Xichong Beach, plus traffic jams are used for nearly 3 hours. Especially into the parking lot that section, blocked for a long time.
🅿️ self-driving parking fees to not expensive, but parking parking to doubt life, parked the car after the excitement is lost half, the parking lot is dirt road, rainy days to go back to wash the car.
🚌 bus: subway plus bus can be to, but time-consuming really long, need to walk a long way. Especially on the way back there is a high concentration of people and you get the feeling of being left in the middle of nowhere.
⛰️ trestle congestion: look at everyone sunshine photo thought trestle not much people, the results to realize, trestle is very narrow, stop to take pictures will block the channel, you can only go forward with the crowd, it is difficult to find a gap to take pictures. It's like being on an escalator in the morning rush hour on a holiday 😂
🚻Can't find a restroom: there are only restrooms in the parking lot and inside the observatory, and you can't get into the observatory without a reservation. That means once you miss the restroom in the parking lot, you'll either have to hold it in or settle for nature for the next 4+ hours. The only restroom also has a long line, the men's room is dirty, and the line for the shared men's/women's restroom is never ending.
☁️ Weather: Coming here is especially weather dependent, the trestles don't have much shade, sunny days are sunny, and it's so hot that you'll wonder about life. Cloudy days are not hot, but the field of vision is not good, not good out of the movie. We went to the time although it is cloudy, but the sea wind is particularly strong, can not hold steady to be blown away feeling, observatory squatting a good weather is really difficult.
🧗 hand and foot hiking: hiking has always thought that is to walk, the big deal is to climb the slope, came here to know that crossing the East and West Chung are warriors. Due to the lack of preparation, chose the return route along the reef beach, this way can be said to be a lot of pain, many sections have to use their hands and feet, only to realize that to come to this hike to bring gloves. Be sure to pay attention to safety in this section.
🌊 The tide of the small accident: it is not easy to walk to the beach, the evening tide, the road is impassable, the last section of the need to take off your shoes from the sea water to trip through, the sea water is not over the knee.
