Shenzhen's oldest century-old temple, compared to the Hongfa Temple, I prefer this less crowded and clean temple.

Turn the place you aspire to, into the road you travelled, "The road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long, the road is long."

Dongshan Temple, Shenzhen's oldest century-old temple

Dongshan Temple is located at the southern foot of Longtou Mountain in Dapeng.

By the mountains, by the sea 🌊.

It was first built in the 27th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1394 AD), rebuilt in 1854 (the fourth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty) and reconstructed in 2009.

The famous Lingnan temple has stood for more than 600 years, and has been rebuilt three times before and after.

It's a weathered, century-old temple 🏯.

Perhaps it preserves more of the old atmosphere because it is far from the city 🍀

Perhaps because it is more remote, compared with Hongfa Temple and Fengyan Ancient Temple, it seems a lot of peace and quiet 🍃.

Dongshan Temple is the earliest temple in Shenzhen and deserves to be the first of the ancient temples!

Have gone to worship! Really! It's true! It really works!

The noise in the temple is almost inaudible

The only thing that comes from the hall is a whisper of chanting.

Can't help but lighten my step when I walk around here 🐾

In addition to Buddhist rituals, you can also see the unique aesthetics of Chinese architecture at close range

In the midst of a busy city, Dongshan Temple offers a place of tranquillity to get away from anxiety and find inner peace, a pure land for the soul!

The arches, murals, and statues of Buddha in the Mahamudra are particularly vivid, and the entire wall is covered with Buddha statues, giving a solemn feeling.

✅Temple rituals left in, right out, visit with feet not on the threshold ‼️

✅ Don't wear hats or umbrellas while saluting the Buddha.

✅ Watch out for mosquito bites as there are more plants around.

✅ Try to find some unoccupied angles to take photos without disturbing others.

✅ Keep quiet, the temple is usually less crowded with people who worship Buddha.

✨About the neighbourhood ✨About the neighbourhood

👉 from the Dongshan Temple out, walk to the right for about ten minutes to the "Shenzhen version of the windy place" - Dapeng City, there are many treasures in the ancient alley small shop, the ancient city tired of shopping!

The old town is just across the street from the beach, and it's about a 10-minute walk, so you don't have to do anything. Just sit there and enjoy the sea breeze is very pleasant.
