Friends should remember the last time I walked the "Dapeng Bay Coastal Greenway", from the Rose Coast - Sea View Promenade - Beizaijiao Lighthouse - XiaoMeiSha Beachwalk - XiaoMeiSha Metro Station, the whole process is about 8.1 kilometers. -Xiaomeisha beachwalk - Xiaomeisha subway station, the whole process is about 8.1 kilometers, time consuming 3.5 hours.
Taking advantage of the recent good weather, I went to Yantian early Sunday morning again, this time hoping to go from Xiaomeisha subway station - Dameisha beach stack - Yantian seafood street - Yantian market subway station, to To finish this most classic coastal route in Shenzhen.
I have to say: it was hot, but it was really, really too beautiful!
I had hoped to finish it as soon as possible, but looking at the blue sea and nice clouds along the way, I couldn't help but stop and keep snapping away, and I ended up walking the 8.5 kilometers in about 3 hours.
This route is very mature, the subway is just a short distance away, the beach is free, and more than 60% of the route is a magnificent seascape, which is breathtaking. The blue sea and sky with white fences, as well as winding but flat stacks, a casual shot are super nice, super out of the picture Oh!
01 About transportation
Exit A of Xiaomeisha Metro Station and walk to the temporary bus stop in the same way you did before to Dapeng Bay.
The difference is that this time, you don't have to wait for the ④ bus to Dapeng, but follow the arrow in the picture below and continue on, walking along the coast to Dameisha.
Walk about 300-500 meters to the "Yantian District Library", and remember to go through the small door to the waterfront walkway.
02 About the landscape
You can't help but marvel all the way from the beach stacks. On a clear day, you can clearly see the blues and greens, and it's really wow~
The trestle is open from 6am - 21pm and no riding/pets/fishing is allowed. Despite constant reminders from the patrollers, the enthusiasm of the fishing guys could not be quenched.
But as beautiful as the trestle is, there is no shade and no restrooms. It's very hot, so make sure you take sun protection!
With each short walk, I stopped and took my time to enjoy it.
Many people, like me, sat quietly in the resting kiosks set up along the way, taking photos and watching the sea.
From here, the first section of the beachfront walkway ends, and you need to walk half a circle along the road next to Dameisha Beach (also known as Yanmei Road outside the InterContinental Jingji Hotel) before you rejoin the beachfront walkway. There are restrooms, self-service vending machines, and coffee and milk tea, so you can take a break if you're tired, or go play in the sea.
One way forward, don't worry.
Compared to the past, today's Dameisha Beach has been transformed into a much more beautiful place!
Public restrooms, changing rooms, outdoor sand washing sinks, lockers, etc. have been added in many ways and feel more convenient!
Back again to the Dameisha Beachwalk!
At about 5 kilometers or so, the seaside trestle is coming to an end. Head up the steps and onto the stunning seaside highway
The greenway is especially good for riding, and so many people come in groups on weekends!
There was certainly no shortage of people who came over to hike the trail as comfortably as I did!
The dusty conditions that used to be caused by construction are gradually disappearing with the completion. If you can't walk at this point, don't push yourself, there are bus stops along the way, just take a bus home.
Almost to Yantian Seafood Street, I found that I hadn't been here for two years, and there were new trestles near the sea, so I could enjoy a good view of the harbor.
03 About the return trip
Turn a corner and arrive at Yantian Seafood Street. When I used to hike this route with my buddies in a group, I would have a seafood meal at Shi Gong Hui to reward myself for the tired walk.
If you want to go straight home, Yantian Market MTR station is also nearby.
You are welcome to come and see the sea, sunset and evening sunshine when you have time!
