Shenzhen Prajna (bōrě) Zen Temple (般若寺)
Prajna Zen Temple formerly known as Pangu Temple, located in Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Yabao Park, was built in the Yuan Shizu to Yuan 15 years (1278), Ming Hongzhi and Chongzhen years of reconstruction, the Qing dynasty Kangxi 27 years (1688) due to the river scouring, set up in the southwest of the Autumn Shrine rebuilt, are monumental. Prajna Zen Temple was rebuilt in the end of the year B (2015) September 19th. Later, the Star River Group made a wish to fund the construction of the temple, Bonjourou Zen Temple compared to Hongfa Temple and other temples, in fact, is not big, even if you walk to the entrance of the temple, see the gate of the plaque written "Star River Sanctuary", you can hardly imagine that there are actually other places in the inside.
Unlike other temples, the quietness of this place does not differ between weekdays and holidays. The east side of the temple is a bustling commercial area, and the new landmark Star River Twin Towers surrounds the temple adding a sense of mystery.
The temple has eleven existing halls, namely, the Hall of the Heavenly King, the Hall of the Ancestors, the Hall of the Earthly Treasures, the Hall of the Three Saints of the West, the Hall of the Reclining Buddha, the Hall of the Three Saints of the East, the Hall of the Guanyin, the Hall of the Gala, the Hall of the Maharajahs, and the two halls of the God of Fortune and the God of the Earth, which are of a simple and elegant architectural style, blending the traditional and modern elements.
You can scan the code at the entrance of the temple to ask for three incense sticks to salute Buddha for free.
11:30-12:30 Lunch will be served at the monastery.
The quantity is small and you need to book in advance at the gate to try it. You can't wear hats, talk, cross your legs, take photos, etc. during the fast. And you have to finish your meal with your bowl, don't have any leftovers, so that every grain is hard to eat.
❗Note Tip.
① It is recommended that you do not wear sleeveless clothes and slippers, hats or umbrellas during the Buddhist ceremony.
②Watch out for mosquito bites as there are more plants around.
③Try to find some unoccupied angles to take photos without disturbing others.
④Keep quiet, the temple is usually less crowded with people saluting the Buddha.
Before entering the temple, you can receive three joss sticks of incense, first offer incense and then pay respect to the Buddha.

(7) In the Hall of the Heavenly King, you can scan the code to receive a Fortune Card (previously, the Ask and Receive Card).
