The twin pagodas of Baisigou in Helan Mountain are the most well-preserved Western Xia pagodas in Ningxia, with high historical and cultural value, research value and ornamental value.

Geographic location: It is located on the terrace north of Baishi Gou in Helan Mountain, about 45 kilometers northwest of Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and is situated in Baishi Kou in the western part of Helan County. From Yinchuan by car along the mountain highway to the northwest, about half an hour to reach.

Architecture: east and west of the two towers facing each other, about 80 meters apart (some data show that about 100 meters), are thirteen layers of octagonal eaves hollow brick tower, are composed of two parts of the tower body and tower brake, without a base.

Historical background: its construction time is not explicitly recorded, but according to the twin towers scattered around a large number of the same style as the mausoleum of the Western Xia kings of the glazed components debris, as well as the local history of Ningxia, can be determined that here in the Western Xia years was built in the Buddhist temple, the two towers basically determined and the Buddhist temple built during the same period, and the same as the Western Xia Emperor Li Yuanhao Wulie's Palace of the Palace of the building components.

Value and significance: Baisikou Twin Pagodas are rare art treasures in the history of Chinese pagoda architecture. 1988, the State Council announced the Baisikou Twin Pagodas as the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units; in December 2005, the Baisikou Twin Pagodas were listed by the former Ministry of Construction as an important part of the “Ningxia Helan Mountain - Xixia Tombs Scenic Spot”. In December 2005, as an important part of the “Ningxia Helan Mountain - Xixia Ling Scenic Spot”, Baisikou Twin Pagodas were listed in the first batch of “China's National Natural Heritage, National Natural and Cultural Heritage Reserve List” by the former Ministry of Construction.
